The term “review jail” is used by some professionals to describe reviews that do not become visible. It is not sufficient to establish a diagnosis. The absence of new reviews does not automatically prove that a sanction has been applied to your profile.
Distinguish between deadline, withdrawal, and restriction.
Google describes several scenarios in its help section regarding missing or delayed reviews. Controls may delay the publication of reviews, and contributions can be removed if they violate the rules. Other issues related to the review itself may require specific verification.
A 48- or 72-hour period is not a test that allows you to definitively conclude that there is a blockage. Avoid requesting a “test opinion” without genuine experience or creating accounts solely to try and circumvent the problem.
To create a factual file/document.
Identify the establishment’s link, the period in question, and any recent changes on the form. If a client reports that a review is missing, only request the information necessary for verification, without encouraging them to post the same content multiple times.
Compare what is publicly visible with the information available in your account management area. Check the messages you’ve received from Google. Keep a separate record of confirmed facts and assumptions to avoid attributing all problems to an unseen filter.
Examining solicitation practices
Eliminate any rewards tied to reviews, precise requests for ratings, and the pre-selection of satisfied customers. Do not use employees or their close contacts to artificially inflate the rating. A gradual publication schedule does not make a practice compliant if it was not already.
Contact support without promising a result.
Follow Google’s support pathway tailored to your situation. Please provide dates and examples clearly and concisely. The support community can guide your steps, but a message on a forum does not guarantee escalation or the restoration of feedback.
Keep this document and continue with normal operations. Respond to visible feedback and address service issues. Avoid providers promising to “unlock” a file or recover all feedback for a fee. The decision to publish belongs to Google, and there is no guarantee of a resolution timeframe.
